Killer Soup New On Netflix This Month January

Two of India’s biggest box office hits of 2023 — Salaar and Animal — are now streaming on Netflix, as is the intriguing new Hindi Original dark comedy crime series Killer Soup. Here are all of the new Indian movies and series added to Netflix in January 2024.

New Indian Movies on Netflix: January 2024

Hi Nanna (2023)

6-year-old Mahi lives with her doting dad Viraj, who refuses to tell the little girl about her mother. Mahi runs away and meets a helpful woman named Yashna who convinces Viraj to tell his daughter about her mom. To say that the truth is complicated is a massive understatement. Each language version of Hi Nanna has its own separate catalogue entry. The Hindi-dubbed version is listed under the title Hi Papa.


Conjuring Kannappan (2023)

A down-on-his-luck guy fishes an old dreamcatcher out of a well. He plucks a feather from it, trapping himself in a dream world with angry spirits. Before he can warn them, the man’s family, his therapist, and a goon named Devil Armstrong touch the dreamcatcher, trapping them in the dream world, too. Salaar (2023)

Salaar‘s Netflix debut comes less than a month after its theatrical release. The film’s full title is Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, the first half of a planned two-part story whose second half is scheduled for release in 2025. Set in the fictional dystopian Indian city-state of Khansaar, political machinations turn two former friends into rivals, as power players vie for control of the kingdom. Each language version of Salaar has a separate catalog entry. An English-dubbed version is coming soon.


Starfish (2023)

Starfish is based on the 2021 novel Starfish Pickle: A Goan Adventure by Bina Nayak. The film follows Tara, a woman hiding from a tragic past who finds solace in the sea working as a commercial diver. A combination of unexpected romance, trance parties, and the advice of a mysterious guru force Tara to finally confront the painful truth she’s been running from.


Animal (2023)

Talented director Abhishek Chaubey helms his first series for Netflix, roping in top-tier actors to bring this quirky, darkly-comic thriller to life. Konkona Sen Sharma plays Swathi, a mediocre home chef who wants to own a restaurant. Things get violently out of hand when she conspires to replace her husband Prabhakar (Manoj Bajpayee) with his lookalike: her lover, Umesh (also Bajpayee). Mighty Bheem’s Playtime (2024) N

The latest entry in Netflix’s Mighty Little Bheem franchise features ten new 15-minute-long episodes about the world’s strongest toddler as he attends school for the first time. Most of the episodes consist of two short stories — such as Episode 7: “Genie in School/Not a Nap Day” — making it perfect for little ones with short attention spans. As with previous entries in the series, there is no spoken dialogue in Mighty Bheem’s Playtime. Hindi and English audio description tracks can be found in the show’s audio menu.
