Quite a few CNN documentaries have been added or renewed today as part of a content library refresh from the provider. The biggest headline is that Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown got two new seasons added just in time for the season 12 premiere. We’ve got the details you need to know below of all the new content.
Now before we get comments shouting “Fake news, CNN!”, allow me to stop you. These new titles from CNN don’t come from the news division. Instead, the CNN titles come from their documentary division.
Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown Gets 2 New Seasons
Let’s begin with possibly one of the best cooking series of all time. The now-late Anthony Bourdain’s brilliant CNN series rightfully earnt him multiple awards in recent years. Netflix had 8 seasons through much of 2018. On multiple occasions this year, Netflix has had the show scheduled to be removed including a removal date scheduled for October too. That removal notice has now gone.
The addition of two seasons (seasons 9 & 10) means that it’s unlikely the series will now be removed, at least for the meantime.
Renewal of The Seventies and The Eighties plus the addition of The Nineties
These three fantastic CNN docuseries have been renewed or added for months to come. Each series takes a look at the respective decade looking at the culture, fashion, pop culture and many more aspects that define the culture.
The Nineties is brand new to Netflix and is possibly the best series yet.
Christiane Amanpour: Sex & Love Around the World Added to Netflix
Brand new to the Netflix library is Christiane Amanpour’s CNN series. This series involves her travelling around the world in search of how different countries and how the adults in six, big global cities celebrate love and accentuate sex.
Christiane Amanpour is a reporter for CNN who has regular weekly spots presenting news coverage.
