Season 6 is in full flow on ABC in the United States and the first half of the season has already released in the US and for some regions, it’s available on Netflix right now. Below is our updated release schedule for season 6 of Once Upon A Time on Netflix.
If you’re not familiar with Once Upon A Time, let’s fill you in. With ABC’s parent company, Disney, owning the licenses to some classic princess and animated classics, they figured it was about time they were put into the real world with a much darker tone than that of their animation cousins. It’s led to an instantly recognisable storyline with your childhood classics brought into the modern world. It stars House’s, Jennifer Morrison alongside villain Lana Parilla and many others all reprising classic Disney roles.
As per previous seasons, each season is split up into two with the first half premiering in the months leading up to Christmas and the remaining premiering during Spring the following year.
Netflix Original Run Season 6 Part 2 Release Schedule
Netflix has purchased exclusive rights to Once Upon a Time in many Netflix regions including the United Kingdom and Australia. In these regions, they enjoy new episodes being added on a weekly basis to Netflix. As of right, the first ten episodes of season 6 are available on Netflix in those regions mentioned above.
The schedule goes something like this, new episodes air in the US on Sunday and then get added to Netflix on the following Wednesday.

When will Once Upon A Time Season 6 be on Netflix US?
Updated (07/25/2017): In line with our prediction, the official release date has been announced as August 25th.
For the US where the series is not an original run exclusive, you’ll have to wait for a more traditional release pattern. As of right now, seasons 1 to 5 are available on Netflix in the states.
Like most series on Netflix, the best way to determine the release date of a new season of a show is to look back at previous years. In the case of Once Upon A Time, most new seasons air in the US in late September. Season 5 of Once Upon A Time arrived onto Netflix US in on August 26th, 2016 and we suspect that it’ll be around the same time next year too. That means a good estimation for season 6 of Once Upon A Time coming to Netflix US is late August 2017.
