The action movie, which stars the late Angus Cloud, Elliot Knight, and Jessica Garza, will make its streaming debut on Netflix US beginning on March 8th, which at the time of writing is tomorrow.
Directed and written by Daniel Brown, the movie only recently had a small theatrical run following its debut at Fantastic Fest in September 2023. It has now been available on VOD services, and the movie will be making its SVOD premiere on Netflix in the United States.
Your Lucky Day is about a dispute over a winning lottery ticket that will grant the winner $156 million. The dispute escalates to a full-blown hostage situation.
Also in the cast, among the three abovementioned were Sterling Beaumon, Mousa Hussein Kraish, Jason Wiles, Sebastian Sozzi, Spencer Garrett, and Jason O’Mara.
As you may know, the 25-year-old Cloud, best known for roles in Euphoria, leads the movie in one of his last roles before he tragically lost his life in July 2023 after a drug overdose.

The movie’s reviews have been mostly positive since its initial release. It currently has an 86% rating from critics on RottenTomatoes with Spectrum Culture saying it’s a “smart thriller that manages to be lean and mean while still offering up some excellent social criticism.” Meanwhile, RogerEbert.com’s Sheila O’Malley concluded that the movie is “thrilling and suspenseful,” adding that it has “enough twists to keep you guessing, but the pointed commentary is impossible to ignore.”
Reviews on IMDb aren’t quite as positive, with the movie sitting at 5.8/10, while back on RT, it sits at 63%, albeit on fewer than 50 ratings.
Well GO USA Entertainment serves as the distributor for the movie, and while Netflix has carried movies from them in the past, the movies are not under any overall deal but instead picked up on a case-by-case basis.
