After being on Netflix for a few weeks and picking up lots of viewing hours, Young Sheldon season 6 will soon be joining Netflix in the US ahead of its season 7 premiere on CBS.
In case you missed it, as part of Netflix’s licensing spree in 2023, Netflix picked up the first five seasons of the hit CBS series prequel series to The Big Bang Theory. Those all dropped on November 24th, 2023 and have been making waves in the top 10s ever since. More on the performance of the show below.
Starring Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, and Montana Jordan, the CBS sitcom (produced by Warner Bros. Television) comes from Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro and follows a young Sheldon Cooper going through life as an adolescent.
With the addition to Netflix US, that means Young Sheldon is now streaming in most regions around the globe, although each country has varying seasons available. Most have access to all six seasons, with most getting season 6 in September 2023.
Netflix UK and India remain notable exceptions, but broadcasting partners in those regions are likely why new seasons get delayed.
When will Young Sheldon Season 6 be on Netflix US?
Many had predicted a long wait for the United States to get season 6 of the Chuck Lorre-produced sitcom, but a new notification showing in the Netflix app confirms that season 6 of Young Sheldon will arrive on Netflix US on February 1st, 2024.

How well is Young Sheldon performing on Netflix?
According to Nielsen, the series has been gaining a lot of viewing time akin to Suits a lot earlier in the year. As a reminder, Nielsen tracks US viewing on connected TV devices.
Here’s how the viewing on Netflix US has been thus far:
- 11/13 – 11/19 (only on Max) – 82M minutes
- 11/20 – 11/26 (Max/Netflix) – 963M minutes
- 11/27 – 12/3 (Max/Netflix) – 1,846M minutes
Per FlixPatrol, the show has now featured in the US TV Top 10s for a total of 41 days since its addition to the service, picking up 232 points. That mirrors its performance on Netflix around the world, where it also regularly features in the top 10s.
