Pandora is one of the brand new shows for The CW in 2019 that’s gunning for the same audience as The 100. With some familiar faces and a fantastic premise, will season 1 of Pandora be coming to Netflix? Let’s take a look.
As we mentioned, Pandora is a brand new sci-fi series from Mark A. Altman who has worked on ABC’s Castle and TNT’s The Librarians in the past. Here’s what the story is about:
Set in the year 2199, a young woman who has lost everything finds a new life at Earth’s Space Training Academy where she learns to defend the galaxy from intergalactic threats.
Reviews for the series have been less than stellar with it currently clocking it at an abysmal 3.8/10 on IMDb.
Sadly, it looks as though Pandora is sitting outside the main output deal Netflix had with The CW. Instead, it’ll be shopped around to various services (including Netflix) separately. It’s not the first show to be dealt with in this fashion. Nancy Drew was shopped around before it was announced for CBS All Access and in a similar fashion, Batwoman and Katy Keene is lined up for HBO Max.
Should it come to Netflix, we would have expected it to be announced for the October lineup for roughly the second or third week. This has yet to happen though.
Given the reviews and the general outlook on the show is quite poor, the series is probably not headed to Netflix.
Will Pandora be on Netflix outside of the United States?
The international rights to the show remains unsold in almost all regions similar to many other shows from The CW at the moment.
This could change depending on the series future but for the moment, outside of VoD, there are no ways of streaming Pandora.
