The 100 will soon be wrapping up its fifth season on The CW and not long after, it’ll be joining Netflix. In fact, we now know the exact release date for season 5 of The 100. Here’s when it’s dropping on Netflix.
The CW has some epic shows at the moment and among the best is The 100. The series is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic that see’s 100 teens sent down to Earth after the space station they’re living in can no longer sustain them. The series is loosely based on the book of the same name but has drastically shifted from its source in recent years.
Season 5 dropped on The CW much later than usual. Usually, it drops in the mid-season break where most other CW shows (typically longer) are halfway through. This year, the series is releasing on The CW on April 24th, 2018. That’s a couple more months later than season 4 dropped in February last year.
Let’s start off with the good news. Season 5 of The 100 will definitely be coming to Netflix. It obviously depends on where you live in the world as countries such as the United Kingdom where it lives on a different platform.
Netflix US Release Date
The series will be released on Netflix in full on August 15th, 2018.
Original estimate: Netflix US will not only be getting the next season of The 100 but it’ll be getting it faster than ever. Once the series wraps up, it’ll be a week after when it lands on Netflix thanks to a deal struck back in mid-2016. It sees the release of loads of titles from The CW which will continue in 2018.
Assuming the series once again has 13 episodes you can expect season 5 to wrap up in August 2018 at the earliest. That means you can expect season 5 to land on Netflix either in late-August 2018 or early September 2018.
Other Netflix Regions
Other regions do get regular updates to The 100 but won’t be as fast adding season 5 as the United States. Netflix Australia remains a season behind so you can expect season 4 added in 2018 and season 5 then added in 2019.
Netflix Canada is one of the few lucky regions to get weekly drops of The 100 so you can expect weekly episodes to arrive the day after it airs in the United States.
