One of the newest shows in the roster for The CW this year is All American. Will season 1 of the sports drama be coming to Netflix and when will it be released? Let’s take a look.
The CW has been producing some massive titles as of late and All American has been well received so far. The series is a sports drama where Daniel Ezra stars as a young up and coming football player who gets recruited to play for Beverly Hills High.
If you loved the likes of Friday Night Lights, this is an absolute must-watch.
The series has been airing on The CW since October 10th and will wrap up on December 12th.
When will season 1 of All American be on Netflix US?
For the past several years, Netflix has been the recipient of all The CW scripted shows as part of a multi-year agreement. That means the likes of Arrow, Crazy Ex-girlfriend and Riverdale get new seasons added to Netflix each year.
So far, we don’t know whether All American will join the service in a similar manner although it is expected. New seasons drop from a week up to a few weeks after it wraps on The CW. While it wasn’t mentioned in the December 2018 new releases, it may drop in that month or could be pushed into January 2019.
We’ll let you know once we know more but in the meantime, you can catch up on episodes through The CW app.
Will other Netflix regions get All American?
We’re currently less sure as to whether Netflix regions abroad will be receiving the show. Given its solely based on American Football, Netflix may perceive it not to be a wise investment for audiences where the sport isn’t widely played.
No region has picked up The CW show exclusively as of yet either. The United Kingdom has many shows from the network exclusively where episodes drop weekly but that’s not the case with All American.
