Well, almost two years ago. The film debuted at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2017. Unicorn Store never had a full theatrical release; therefore, the film has been practically put on ice since Toronto. The film was then picked up by Netflix in January 2019 and picked up the distribution rights to the film.
