Twelve Forever – Picture: Netflix
Twelve Forever, the Cartoon Network animated series that became a Netflix Original in 2017 now has its official release date on Netflix. Coming at the end of July 2019, here’s everything we know about Twelve Forever season 1.
The show joins an ever-increasing library of kids animated shows available exclusively on Netflix which by our count at the time of publishing is now 62 individual titles.
What’s Twelve Forever on Netflix about?
Here’s the official synopsis of the show:
Reggie’s wild imagination unlocks a weird and wonderful world where she can be herself – and escape the pressures of growing up.
Julia Vickerman who is the creator of Twelve Forever first announced that Netflix had picked up the show all the way back in December 2017.
Vickerman has worked on huge shows for the likes of Cartoon Network including The Powerpuff Girls, Clarence and Yo Gabba Gabba.

The show was originally shopped to Cartoon Network all the way back in May 2015 as a pilot. Cartoon Network passed and it was Netflix that saved the day.
Among some of the other producers on the show include Shadi Petosky, Stan Spry, Bradford Bricken, Adam Deibert, Jarond Gibbs as well as artists such as Paul Hornschemeier,
Shortly before the release of Twelve Below, Julia returned to social media and said the following in a Tweet on July 12th when the shows release date was first announced:
Hey guys, All episodes of TWELVE FOREVER season 1 premiere JULY 29th on Netflix!! So many remarkable people worked SO hard on this show and it has years of love woven into it. We’re excited for you to see it!!!
Some of the crew who worked on the show have also begun promoting it.

Is there a trailer for Twelve Forever on Netflix?
The first trailer for the series debuted on the Netflix Kids and Family channel whos videos often get missed. It was released on July 17th, 2019 and gives you a first look at what to expect.
Will there be a season 2 for Twelve Forever?
It’s way too early to tell how the future of the show will pan out. We’ve seen some rumors that the main studio behind the show has been shuttered but that it could still continue regardless.
