Tokyo Swindlers is an upcoming Japanese Netflix Original crime thriller series and the adaptation of the novel Jimenshitachi by author Shinjo Ko. Ohne Hitoshi is the writer and director behind the series. Booster Project is the production company behind the series.
When is Tokyo Swindlers coming to Netflix?
Netflix has yet to announce the release date for Tokyo Swindlers. However, we have learned that a preliminary release date of July 25th, 2024, has been set.

What is the plot of Tokyo Swindlers?
Netflix has provided the logline for Tokyo Swindlers:
“Based on Ko Shinjo’s captivating novel, Tokyo Swindlers brings to life a high-stakes game of real estate deception. Directed by the versatile Hitoshi One, who has been eagerly anticipating this project, this thrilling crime drama series stars Go Ayano and Etsushi Toyokawa. The story unveils a series of unprecedented crimes committed by a cunning group of land scammers who use real estate sales as bait to steal large sums of money”
Who are the cast members of Tokyo Swindlers?
Ayano Go and Toyokawa Etsushi are the only confirmed cast members so far.
Fans of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho may recognize Ayano Go as Younger Toguro. He also starred in the 2023 thriller Hard Days as Yazaki Takayuki. Outside of Netflix, the actor is known for starring in Japanese television shows such as MIU 404, Kounodori, and Avalanche.
Toyokawa Etsushi has yet to star in a Netflix Original. He is most well-known for his roles in Japanese movies and television shows such as Love Letter, Beautiful Rain, March Comes in Like a Lion, Platinum Data, and A Good Husband. He also starred in the English-language movie Midway as Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto.
Esther K. Chae has been listed in the cast but will provide Taniguchi/Hattori’s voice for the English dub.
