Netflix gave an early renewal to Tires, the Shane Gillis-led comedy set in a tire shop, confirming that season 2 was on the way before season 1 landed on the streamer last May. Now, almost a year later, we’ve just got confirmation that season 2 of the show will be landing on Netflix sometime in Summer 2025. Here’s what you need to know.

Following the show’s premiere on Netflix on May 23rd, 2024, it spent two weeks in the global top 10, picking up 6.9M views. According to the Netflix Engagement Reports, the show pulled in 12M views (26.90M hours watched) for 2024.

We can also confirm that season 2 has gotten an expanded episode order, going from 6 episodes in season 1 to at least 12.

Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias will all reprise their roles for the second season. The plot continues the story after the success of their marketing idea in season 1. Will and Shane now rush to grow personally and professionally without fully realizing the cost of doing business. Thomas Haden Church is the major new season regular for season 2. Best known for Divorce and Twisted Metal, he’ll play Shane’s wealthy but immature father, Phil.

Season 2 will feature some impressive new guest stars, as first announced during the Next on Netflix 2025 presentation. Vince Vaughn, best known for movies like Wedding Crashers and Dodgeball, will also be the main star in Netflix’s new May 2025 movie, Nonnas. Andrew Schulz is another of the big guest stars for season 2.

Joining Vaughn this season are an assortment of other comedians, including Ron White, best known for being part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. SNL alum Jon Lovitz, who has been seen in movies like The Wedding Singer and Rat Race, will also appear. Ginny & Georgia star Veronika Slowikowska (she plays Sasha) will also appear, as well as stand-up comic, Steph Tolven.

We’ll keep you posted on Tires season 2 as and when we get more information. Until then, here’s three first look pictures at the upcoming season 2 of Tires:
