Another week and another three new episodes of the Netflix talk show, Chelsea. This week, we saw a ton of great guests including the likes of Wagner Moura, Ellen Page and Anna Faris. It seemed a little odd how little Chelsea touched on the Orlando shootings given how vocal she is on issues like that.
Wednesday June 15th
Cocaine Kingpins & the Science of Sleep
The first episode of the week began talking about Chelsea’s favorite punchbag at the moment who is of course, Donald Trump. We’re then treated to an extended interview with the star of the Netflix Original series, Narcos with the lead star, Wagner Moura. He was not only dropping by to talk about his role but to also announce the season 2 release date of the show.
Also on Wednesday’s show, the show was joined by the co-founder of the Huffington Posts, Arianna Huffington. She was here to promote her new book about sleeping. The second half of the show was spent with Javier Pena who was the actual DEA agent that took down Pablo Escobar. Finally and this is the point most probably switched over was when we had another segment from DJ Khaled.
Thursay June 16th
Ellen Page & Inspiring Role Models
On Thursday we’re back around Chelsea’s dinner table and this time we’re with the rest of the family talking about the past of Chelsea. Chelsea’s father Seymour was the highlight of the show and thankfully there was no Frank Grillo here. Also remember when Chelsea put out a personal appeal to find the teacher from her childhood in the first couple of episodes? She’s here.
The main star of the episode was Ellen Page who spoke about her role models as well as her position in the LGBT community with her new travel show. Chelsea and Ellen also recounted the tragic killings that took place last week in Orlando. We’re also joined in the second half of the show by Denver Broncos footballer, Von Miller.
Friday June 17th
Trump Mania & Kegel Exercises
To wrap up the week, Chelsea spent the majority of her Friday episode bashing, you guessed it, Donald Trump. But before then, we have an audience segment discussing dating and interviews with Anna Faris and Allison Janney who appear in the wildly successful comedy series, Mom now heading into its forth season.
Chelsea also takes a trip to Mexico to find out what they think about Americans and the stereotypes associated with the Mexicans. All of that inevitably leads to a pinata of Donald Trump being revealed and you can tell what comes next.
