USA Network’s The Sinner is coming to Netflix in August 2019 in the United States after a long wait after its season finale. Here’s what you can expect from the next season and we’ll also touch on other regions who may or may not have already.
Let’s get the good news out of the way first. Netflix US will be getting The Sinner season 2 on August 1st, 2019. That’s a Thursday in case you’re thinking of taking the day off.
The first season of The Sinner first aired on USA Network back in 2017 and it wasn’t until August 2018 until Netflix added it in the US.
What to expect from season 2 of The Sinner
The crime thrillers second season sees a detective return home to investigate the killing of a young boy’s parents and the motives that went behind it.
Bill Pullman and Dohn Norwood return for the second season and introduces characters played by Carrie Coon, Natalie Paul, Hannah Gross, and Elisha Henig.
In most cases, USA Network opts to keep its content away from Netflix but The Sinner was a big purchase for Netflix which it carries around the world.
In most regions, Netflix carries The Sinner as a Netflix Original. In the UK for example, it gets new seasons of the show roughly a month or two after the series concludes.
When and will there be a season 3 of The Sinner?
We reported back in May that the series will continue coming to Netflix so long as USA Network keeps producing new seasons. No release date has been announced for season 3 as of yet which could affect its Netflix release schedule.
