In recent years, he has been credited for the creation of the Van Helsing television series while also directing episodes of Hell on Wheels and Billions. Co-writer of the series is Lucy Teitler, who spent a brief amount of time on Mr. Robot as a writer.

When did filming take place?

There are conflicting reports on when the filming took place originally.

According to IMDb, filming began on the 7th of January 2019.

Whereas the wiki page for the series claims filming took place between October to December 2018. The two sources for this claim fail to mention when filming was carried out, therefore, IMDb’s report that filming began in January is likely the truth.

Where did production take place?

We can confirm that the series’s filming took place in the Dominican Republic. Pinewood Studios has its own production studio in the country to which further filming took place there. The surge in productions taking place in the country has been credited for by the reduction of Tax.

How many episodes will The I-Land air?

It has been confirmed that The I-Land will be arriving with only 7 episodes.

Will The I-Land be available to stream in 4K?

There’s no official confirmation at the time of writing, but it’s highly likely that The I-Land will be available to stream in 4K. This is because the previous two Originals produced by Nomadic Pictures, Wu Assassins and The Order, were shot in 4K.

Taking into consideration the cinematography that’s gone into the development of The I-Land it would be a waste not to.

Has Netflix released a trailer for The I-Land?

The trailer for The I-Land arrived on the 20th of August! From first impressions, it looks like Lost, Fyre Festival, and The Hunger Games had a baby.

When is the release date for The I-Land?

The I-Land will be available to stream on Netflix on the 12th of September, 2019. Surprisingly, the series release date is on a Thursday rather than a Friday. The significance of this is that the titles Netflix tends to have the most confidence in usually arrive on a Friday.

Stranger Things season 3 is the only exception, but the release was aimed at Independence Day in the U.S.
