Virgin River is one of Netflix’s most bankable series hits. Now heading into its seventh season on Netflix, part of the reason why the show is so popular is because of the source material from Robyn Carr. Given that success, it wouldn’t be long before others snapped up Carr’s other romance novels and series, which happened with Sullivan’s Crossing, which has just been confirmed to come to Netflix but only in Canada for the moment.
The Canadian series, which first aired in March 2023, airs on CTV in Canada. In the United States, the show is exclusively distributed by The CW. Roma Roth, an executive producer on Virgin River, is behind the adaptation, with the plot telling the story of Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon who reconnects with her previous life in a small town after leaving her professional life in the city behind. It shares much of the same DNA with Virgin River and has a similarly active and adoring fanbase.
The cast for the show includes Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard, and Scott Patterson.
Until now, the show has only been available on CTV and Crave in Canada, although that’s changing in April 2025. The Netflix UI confirms the show’s arrival on Netflix CA for those in Canada, and recent social media posts on Instagram and other platforms. We can confirm that seasons 1 and 2 will join Netflix CA. Both seasons will roll out on Netflix CA on April 24th, 2025, which is just three days ahead of season 3, set to consist of another 10 episodes, rolling out on CTV from April 27th.
Will other regions be getting Sullivan’s Crossing? Not at the moment – we’ve looked across various different regions of Netflix and for now, only Canada is set to receive the series.
For those not getting Sullivan’s Crossing, we recommend checking out Netflix’s other titles in the space, such as Sweet Magnolias and the upcoming Texas romance series Ransom Canyon, due out in April 2025.
