When Will Seasons Outlander Be On Netflix

Outlander – Starz / Sony Pictures

The first two seasons of Outlander first arrived on Netflix in May 2019 but fans have been patiently waiting for the remaining series to join Netflix. Now, we know that season 3 of Outlander is coming to Netflix in the United States in December 2019.

The period drama which unexpectedly came to Netflix in May 2019 joins many other Netflix regions that also streams the show.

Outlander is based on the book series of the same name which sees a nurse from the mid-1940s in WW2 travel back in time to the mid-1700s.

Although the series is a Starz show, it’s actually distributed by Sony Pictures Television. In a similar fashion to Shameless (which we’ll mention again shortly) coming to Netflix, it wasn’t because Showtime allowed it, it was because Warner Brothers decided to license as it is the distributor.

When will season 3 of Outlander be on Netflix?

We did originally expect the series to be renewed on an annual basis but thanks to Netflix’s official page for the show getting an update, we now know that season 3 is due to release on Netflix on December 10th, 2019.

This was then confirmed by Netflix’s “See What’s Next” account shortly afterward.

That obviously means that season 4 and 5 are due later down the line but we’ll have better predictions for those seasons shortly.

Some Netflix regions already carry Outlander’s later seasons. Canada, for example, got season 4 of Outlander added in November 2019.

Is there anywhere else to watch Outlander?

At the moment, your best location for streaming Outlander remains the Starz app for streaming. All four seasons on its website and application although you’ll need a separate subscription to watch.

Likewise, the new seasons will be found first on its applications before coming to Netflix.
