Netflix subscribers are definitely being spoiled this December as a whole heap of anime is coming their way. The extreme martial artist Baki is included in that list. Here’s everything we know so far about season one of Baki.
Baki is a Netflix Original anime based on the manga Baki The Grappler. The franchise of Baki has around since 1991 has been popular amongst fans for almost three decades now.
The original manga serialization only just ended in April 2018 with a total of 138 volumes. With Baki having previously had two anime series in the early 2000s, some fans may already be acquainted with the character.
What is the plot of Baki?
The upcoming season of Baki will cover the Most Evil Death Row Convicts arc. Chapters 1 through 158 covered this arc in the manga.
Baki Hanma travelled the world to hone his skill as a fighter with the intent of surpassing his father as the world’s strongest martial artist. Five of death row’s most brutal and violent inmates are gathering in force to take on Baki with the hope that he will annihilate them, having grown bored of their own strength and thus with life. To support their friend, martial artists that Baki has met on his journey join him to fight by his side in the world’s deadliest tournament.

How many episodes will Season 1 have?
The first season of Baki will debut with 13 episodes.
Has Baki already been renewed for a second season?
Baki has already aired all of its episodes in Japan where it debuted. The episodes were released on a weekly basis for a 26 episode run.
This aired as one full season. Audiences around the rest of the world will be receiving the 26 episodes of Baki across tw seasons instead.
