Roman Empire Season 3

Season 3 of the historical anthology series Roman Empire is coming out much sooner than expected with its global release marked for April 5th, 2019.

A common theme for documentaries in the past several years has been combining the historical accuracy of a documentary with the entertainment of a good action series. Series like Mars has done it well for National Geographic but for Netflix, Roman Empire has successfully fused these two elements together.

The release of season 3 comes just 9 months after season 2 which arrived on July 27th, 2018. The first series came to Netflix in November 2016.

Each series of Roman Empire is dubbed a different name depending on who the series is mainly about. Season one was dubbed Reign of Blood and looked at Commodus and season 2 was dubbed Master of Rome which followed Julius Ceasar and the fall of the Roman Republic.

What to expect from season 3 of Roman Empire

Sadly, we don’t yet know what season 3 will cover. In fact, there’s very little known for Roman Empire season 3 beyond its release date at present. Bustle has speculated on a few of the worthy subjects including Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus and Marcus Aurelius. Of course, we could also cover Augustus, Trajan or Hadrian.

What can we expect for season 3? Well, we can expect an entirely new cast as the show cycles its cast members each season for obvious reasons. So far, the show has attracted big talents such as Sean Bean, Aaron Jakubenko, Steve West, Ditch Davey, and Stephen Lovatt.

Once we hear more on season 3, we’ll update this post.

Will Roman Empire season 3 be on Netflix everywhere?
