It looks like we’re finally getting the release of the Rocko’s Modern Life movie on Netflix. The Nickelodeon movie that Netflix picked up earlier in the year is now due for release on Netflix around the world on August 9th, 2019.
Along with the Invader Zim movie, both were picked up by Netflix earlier in the year after Nickelodeon had failed to air the movie despite it having been finished for multiple years. In fact, by the time it releases on Netflix, it’ll have been roughly three years since we first learned about the series.
The new movie is based on the series from the 1990s and was part of Nickelodeons movie to reboot some of their older properties.
Here’s what you can expect from Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling:
After being in space for many years, Rocko and his friends attempt to adjust to an even more modern life.
When will Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling be on Netflix?
Up until recently, the only release window we’ve had is that the show would arrive sometime in the summer.
Charlie Adler confirmed the release date of August 9th, 2019. Adler voices a wide range of characters in the upcoming movie including Ed Bighead, Bev Bighead, Mr. Dupette, Grandpa Wolfe and Mr. and Mrs. Fatheda.

Likewise, IMDb has also been updated to reflect the new release date on Netflix too.
Netflix themselves have yet to update the movies official page with the release date but we’re expecting the full list of August releases in the next week or so. You can see all the Netflix Original releases for August that we do know about here.
Multiple Nickelodeon projects are still either in the works or due to be released on Netflix including the Invader Zim movie. Netflix will air the expected final season of Pinky Malinky in July 2019.
