Restaurants on the Edge – Picture: Cottage Life
More episodes of Netflix’s new reality series Restaurants on the Edge are coming to Netflix worldwide in May 2020.
The reality series sees three industry experts, Dennis Prescott, Nick Liberato, and Karin Bohn travel the world and help broken restaurants in turning a corner and fixing their often broken businesses.
The series isn’t quite a full Netflix Original. The series aired first on Cottage Life, a relatively small Canadian network that primarily airs docu-series and reality shows.
Season 1 arrived on Netflix all around the world in February 2020 with six episodes.
The show is often compared to Kitchen Nightmares as it features a very familiar premise but couldn’t be more different. Reviews for the first season have been mixed. Some enjoy the travel aspect of the show, while most seem to have problems with the way that the hosts deal with the restaurant owners and take the focus away from the restaurants.
It did, however, produce some great moments including possibly the best with William the Baker in Hong Kong who delivered some excellent one-liners with a superb dead-pan delivery.

The series is now back several months with the next batch of episodes.
When will season 2 be on Netflix?
According to Cottage Life, the next series will see us visiting Finland, Muskoka, Slovenia and Arizona but we’re not fully sure how many episodes there will be just yet. Also according to Cottage Life, this is technically the second half of season 1.
The new episodes are scheduled to hit Netflix in every country around the world outside of Canada in May 2020 on May 8th, 2020.
When will season 2 be on Netflix Canada?
Netflix Canada won’t immediately receive the new season. Thankfully, unlike some instances where Canadians have to wait over a year, we’re not expecting the same for Restaurants on the Edge. Season 1 arrived roughly a month after it did elsewhere in the world so hopefully, you’ll be streaming season 2 by the summer.
