Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang will reportedly lead Netflix’s upcoming romantic-comedy K-drama, Recharge Me. Details are limited, but we’d expect production to begin on the K-drama later in 2025. Here’s what we know so far.
Recharge Me is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original romantic comedy series directed by Park Soo Won (Birthcare Center), and adapted from the web novel 나를 충전해줘 by author Hae Boon.
What is the plot of Recharge Me?
Baek Ho Rang is living with an artificial heart, and is at risk of dying as it begins to fail, but as fate would have it, he meets No Bo Bae, a woman with the power to produce electricity, and to charge his artificial heart.
Who are the cast members of Recharge Me?
It has been reported by multiple outlets that Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang will lead the new Netflix K-drama.
Chae Soo Bin will play No Bo Bae, a woman with the power to generate electricity. The actress previously starred in Netflix K-dramas, including When the Phone Rings and The Fabulous. Outside of Netflix, she has starred in dramas such as Rookie Cops, A Piece of Your Mind, and I’m Not a Robot.

Kim Young Kwang will play Baek Ho Rang, a man with a failing artificial heart. The actor previously starred in Netflix K-dramas Somebody and Hello Me. The actor will be seen in the upcoming Netflix K-drama Trigger.

What is the production status of Recharge Me?
It’s currently unknown when Recharge Me will begin production, so for now, we’re under the assumption that the series is in pre-production.
When is the Recharge Me Netflix release date?
There is no official confirmation on when Recharge Me will be coming to Netflix. At the earliest, we expect to see the K-drama on Netflix in late 2026. However, a release in the first half of 2027 is more realistic.
