New Wednesday Season 2 Asset Gets Leaked By Netflix

Wednesday updates throughout 2025 have been few and far between so far. Sure, we know season 2 is returning this year, but beyond a first look clip at Next on Netflix 2025, fans have been desperate for new intel. Well, it looks like something is starting to happen, with some changes on social media, suggesting we’re getting updates very soon.

Of course, Wednesday fans, some of the most eagle-eyed out there, spotted it and, given the internet, have already uploaded the new banner to social media. The new banner features a new look at Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, who is tied up in a chair with tears running down her face. The banner also features the caption: “The wait has been torture”.

That Twitter banner has now been pulled, but the new logo for the show (featured far right in the picture below) has remained, alongside the other updated logos on different social platforms. As spotted by fans, the new logos are associated with things Wednesday loves, including:

  • Crystal ball to call home – FAMILY
  • Dorm window – ENID
  • Key – TYPEWRITER

May 2025 is going to be a big month for the show with season 2 expected to play a big role in TUDUM, which goes live on Netflix on May 31st (or June 1st if you’re in Europe or Asia) at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET. Live from Los Angeles, that’s where we’re getting first looks and new information for some of Netflix’s biggest shows and movies scheduled for the back half of the year, and Wednesday will undoubtedly be taking part.

We may get some news even sooner (or perhaps just an acknowledgment) with Netflix also participating in the Upfronts this year, which are believed to take place on May 14th at the Perelman Performing Arts Center from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. For those unfamiliar, the Upfronts are where Netflix makes its pitch to advertisers to spend their money. While not streamed to the public, there’s usually a press release follow-up that usually has intel or at the very least a list of titles coming up.

Finally, while on the subject of Wednesday season 2, we’ve got two final minor casting updates for you! While the new additions to the cast for season 2 have already been announced, we can report that Monica McCarthy, an American actress based in Ireland, will play a very small non-speaking role in season 2, playing the role of Debbie. Likewise, TJ Hyland, an Irish actor, will be playing the role of Werewolf Prefect, with the actor spending several months on set.

No release date for Wednesday season 2 yet, with any luck that’ll be one of the new things we learn about the new season come next month but we’ve been hearing for quite sometime the new season will touch down fully or in part on September 3rd, 2025 – we’ll see if that comes to fruition.
