The original Anime series Perfect Bones is to premiere only on Netflix, as revealed by the world’s leading streaming service Netflix and Production I.G, the Japanese studio that distributed two anime series.
Perfect Bones will have a 12-episode series and will be the first ever original Anime title to debut all episodes at once in 190 countries around the world. It will be directed by Kazuto Nakazawa, and the show will be set in the future where scientists attempt to create a ‘perfect human’ to keep peace in the universe.
However, it’s not all as perfect as it first seemed as once they have got a near-masterpiece, the genetically engineered children are kidnapped by an evil organisation during further training. The organisation plans to use the children’s powers to implement a different world.
Netflix continues to expand its original content and this sci-fi thriller will be the first to adopt the familiar complete season release model. Although this is exciting news, there is not yet a launch date or promotional artwork.
Other Netflix Original anime include Knights of Sidonia, The Seven Deadly Sins and Glitter Force, which were released long after their original air date in Japan.
Production I.G was established in 1987 and has produced a number of acclaimed feature films and TV shows. The company is more commonly known for the Ghost in the Shell franchise, and for the animated TV series Psycho-pass and Attack on Titan.
Of course, it had to be Netflix who landed this whopping deal, and many anime fans will be psyched for Perfect Bones.
