War Machine Netflix Cast Soundtrack

War Machine released on Netflix on May 26th, it stars Brad Pitt as an eccentric general who is sent to the war in Afghanistan to help bring it to an end. It’s based somewhat on the events that happened to real life General, Stanley McChrystal.

  • April 27th, 2012 – New Regency and Plan B Entertainment acquired rights to the book called The Operators
  • April 14th, 2014 – David Michôd and Brad Pitt were bought onboard the project
  • June 8th, 2015 – Netflix picked up the licensing for the movie.
  • October 2015 – Filming started
  • May 26th, 2017 – Released on Netflix

What The Critics Are Saying

Reviews have been generally mixed for the new Netflix movie. It currently holds a 50 on Metacritc and 57 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Taking reviews from both ends of the spectrum, The Telegraph giving the movie a 20 said the movie was “A fantastically dreary and flatulent anti-war satire.” and the Los Angeles Times which gave it a 90, praised its casting and characters.
