Coming 16th of November is the latest film by the Coen Brothers. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is only a month away from release so here’s our preview!
The film recently premiered at the 75th Venice International Film Festival on the 31st of August. Written and directed by the Coen Brothers, this is the 20th film they’ve directed and this is their first film set in the “Wild West.”
What is the Plot?
There are six chapters, each presenting a different story from the wild frontier. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs tells the story of a sharp-shooting songster.
In Near Algodones, a wannabe bank robber gets his due and then some.
Meal Ticket is a gothic tale about two weary traveling performers.
All Gold Canyon is a story about a prospector mining for gold.
A woman finds an unexpected promise of love, along with a dose of life’s cruel irony, on a wagon train journey across the prairies in The Gal Who Got Rattled.
Finally, ghostly laughs haunt The Mortal Remains as a woman rains judgment upon a motley crew of strangers undertaking a final carriage ride.
