Netflix’s continued investment into anime continues with a new Netflix Original series lined up for December 18th under the name of Glitter Force. It’s a lot more of a light-hearted series than the other two Netflix Original anime series Knights of Sidonia and the recently added, The Seven Deadly Sins.
The series comes from Saban Brands and has been rebranded in recent months to be called Glitter Force rather than “Smile PreCure”.
In the series set to span 20 episodes, the show will follow 5 pre-teen girls who combine to become the Glitter Force – think Power Rangers. Their role is to defend the Earth from fairy tale villains.
It’ll arrive on Netflix globally from December 18th excluding some Asian regions most notably Japan where a broadcasting has already been arranged for the show.
