As Netflix comes a bigger contender in the world of television and film it was only a matter of time before they were competing among the top dogs. It turns out that Netflix is already at the top with their latest Netflix Original series, Narcos. The show arrived on Netflix globally in early September 2015 and has been met with a positive response from the majority of those who watch it as well as a superb review for the first season on What’s on Netflix.
Narcos the show in question is said to be the second most popular show of 2016 falling short of the big numbers that HBO’s Game of Thrones managed to pull in. Netflix are notoriously stingy when it comes to revealing viewer figures but the survey predicts that Game of Thrones had 28.3 million with Narcos reaching 14.3 million.
That number is quite a big gap and Ted Sarandos at an investor conference recently has stated that the Narcos number is actually a lot higher because it doesn’t include measurements of different devices such as mobile.
