As of the publishing of this article, it’s been 509 (!) days since the first season 1 of My Life with the Walter Boys first touched down on Netflix. That’s 1 year, four months, and fifteen days! To say that fans have been waiting patiently is an understatement, but their/your wait is almost over. We have some intel on when the show could return, some tidbits about episode titles, and some positive news already for a potential season 3.
It’s been a while since season 2 wrapped filming in November 2024, and updates have been few and far between. We know that on the director’s team this season are Jason Priestley, Audrey Cummings, and Monika Mitchell, and that Natalie Sharp, Carson MacCormac, Janet Kidder, Riele Downs, and Jake Manley are amongst the new members of the cast.
A release date has not been officially revealed, but our understanding is that the series is targeting a late Summer return, specifically in August 2025. Our intel suggests the current target release date is Thursday, August 21st, 2025, but that’s not set in stone and highly subject to change.
We’ve also got some intel about episode titles for season 2! We’re expecting another 10-episode season to match that of season 1, and we already have a few episode titles that offer hints as to what’s coming up.
UPDATE: More titles have surfaced (h/t drewlt91 on X) and are reportedly in the correct order:
- Episode 1: Still Young
- Episode 2: No-Look Pass
- Episode 3: My Life With(out) the Walter Boys
- Episode 4: Girls Just Wanna Have Fundraisers
- Episode 5: Raked Over the Coal…
- Episode 6: Giant of All Times
- Episode 7: Midday Cowboy
- Episode 8: Giver/Taker
- Episode 9: Día de Los Muertos
- Episode 10: TBD
What do the new episode titles suggest? The first one indeed suggests that a rift is forming or some separation in Season 2. Girls Just Wanna Have Fundraisers is a playful spin on the song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, suggesting a fun event of some kind. Día de Los Muertos is the Spanish for the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, confirming the new season takes place later in the year. The rest we’ll leave up to your interpretation.

Will There Be A Season 3 of My Life With The Walter Boys?
We have some good news for the future of the show, beyond the 10 new episodes. According to the WGA, My Life with the Walter Boys season 3 is in early development at Netflix. This doesn’t mean the show has been given the green light for more episodes, but it does indicate that Netflix has faith the series will return and deliver. Allowing the show to go into development early means we shouldn’t see a big gap if it gets greenlit.
According to their updated listings, they suggest that Priya A. Desai and Jillian Molin have joined the show as staff writers for Season 3.
We’re also sitting on some other news that will be good for any fan of the source material of this Netflix show, but we’re bound by secrecy for the moment. More to come as and when we get it.
