The South-Korean Originals have been excellent so far and that trend continued with the second season of My First First Love. But after another excellent season of My First First Love, some fans have been left wondering if we’ll be seeing a third season? Let’s find out!
My First First Love is a Netflix Original South-Korean drama series created by Jung Hyun-jung. This isn’t the first successful series created by the screenwriter. Jung Hyun-jung was the brains behind other excellent K-Dramas such as the In Need of Romance and Romance is a Bonus Book.
When Yoon Tae-oh’s friends move into his home, it isn’t long before feelings of love arise and friendships are tested. As the group of friends learns what it means to be loved for the first time, they must also learn the value of their friendship.
My First First Love Season 3 Renewal Status

At the time of writing Netflix has yet to release any information on the renewal of My First First Love. Many fans would likely be surprised to see a renewal of the series as the ending didn’t leave any openings for a third season. That’s not to say the writers couldn’t draft a story to bring the six friends together again.
Will Netflix produce a sequel series?
While the series isn’t on Netflix, My First First Love is a sequel series to another K-Drama, My First Time. The prequel series revolved around the same six characters except they would hang out on the rooftop of Yoon Tae-oh’s home.
There’s every chance that the story could follow on and begin after a time skip. Through some drama and special circumstances, it could bring all six friends together once again.
Perhaps by this point in the story, Yoon-Tae oh and Song-i are happily married and want to start a family. So if they have their own home there’s every chance we could see Yoon-Tae oh and Song-i’s home become the social hub for the group. Especially if any of the characters are down on their luck. Season 2 did end on a very happy note so hopefully, none of their stories are ruined.

When is the Netflix release date for season 3 of My First First Love?
As we’re unsure on whether or not My First First Love is returning for a third season, it’s a little harder to predict a release date.
If there are any plans for further seasons or a brand new title it will have to be put on hold for the time being. In South Korea, it is mandatory for individuals to be enlisted into the armed forces.
Jin Young the actor that portrays Do-Hyun is now carrying out his national service for the South Korean military. The actor will spend less time in active duty as he has been enlisted into the army. If he had joined the Navy or Air Force, his service would have been longer. Jin Young’s enlistment began in June, which means he won’t be leaving until March 2021.
