Bolts, Sweeps, Axyl, and all the gang are back for a second outing for Mighty Monsterwheelies, an animated kids series from Universal and DreamWorks Animation. New episodes are scheduled to air on Netflix globally on May 5th, 2025.

Set in the world of Motorvania (a play on Transylvania!), season 2 will continue the adventures of the trucks introduced in season 1 with a few new faces. This season, they’ll help others stay safe from avalanches in the Carpathian Mountains, predict storms with Wendy the Weather Van, and even conduct a rescue involving a rogue runaway Ferris wheel.

The first season didn’t make much of an impact on the Netflix charts, if truth be told. It failed to enter the weekly global top 10 charts, although it did feature in the daily kids charts of 34 countries, including the United States (11 days total) and the United Kingdom (10 days total). Some top-performing countries for season 1 included Turkey, Hong Kong, and Sweden. Looking at the Netflix Engagement Reports, we know that season 1 ranked as the 929th most popular series for the second half of 2024, picking up 14.30 million hours watched, equating to 2.5 million views.

Lending their voices for season 2 of the show include:

  • Tru Valentino as Bolt’s Frankenstein (The Rookie, Madagascar: A Little Wild)
  • Grace Lu as Axyl Bride (Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, Monster High)
  • Cal Brady as Sonnie Dracula (The Big Door Prize, Black-ish)
  • Matt Lowe as Sweeps Wolfman (Bob’s Burgers, American Dad!)
  • Sandra Saad as Gill E. Creature (Marvel’s Avengers, Saints Row)
  • Chester Rushing as Wraps Stretcher (Stranger Things, Daybreak)
  • Weird Al Yankovic as Mayor Van Helsing (UHF, Milo Murphy’s Law)
  • Sean Astin as Invisible Van (The Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things)
  • Ashley Park as Phantom Freeze (Emily in Paris, Joy Ride)

In an exclusive with Parents.com, executive producers Stephanie Simpson and Kyel White previewed the upcoming season, saying the show continues to showcase universal values such as kindness and helping your community. “This batch of stories really showcases the value of persistence in the face of obstacles and being able to rely on your friends to pull you through when you run out of ideas,” Simpson told the outlet.

The new season trailer was uploaded to the DreamWorks TV YouTube channel and can also be found on the show’s Netflix page in addition to brand new first look images sourced from Animation World Network.
