Whether you like the movies or not you can’t deny that each Mad Max movie has been absolutely groundbreaking in one way or another. Given that we had the fantastic reboot last year so we decided to delve into Netflix to find out which of the Mad Max movies are streaming on Netflix.
The focus in this movie series is all about gritty violence and to be truthful there’s little else out there like these movies. The 2015 reboot has been one of the most refreshing movies in recent memory.

Mad Max (1979)
The first Mad Max with Mel Gibson premiered just before the 70’s came to a close. Everyone of the original Mad Max movies are directed by George Miller.
The first Mad Max is vacant on Netflix in any of the regions.
Mad Max 2 : The Road Warrior (1981)
In the first sequel to Mad Max we continue the series in Max’s continued quest to gain gasoline in a post apocalyptic Australian Outback.
The second Mad Max movie is only available on Netflix in Japan.
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)
The final installment of the Mel Gibson era came in the form of Beyond Thunderdome. Mel Gibson knocked it out of the park with his performance in this one and cemented the trilogy in movie history.
The third Mad Max movie is available on Netflix in Northern European regions only including Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Max Max: Fury Road (2015)
The newest Mad Max that released last year really pushed the boundaries of film and was one of the best movies of 2015. It stars Tom Hardy as he attempts to save a group of female prisoners escaping from an oppressive leader of the outback.
Mad Max Fury Road is only available on Netflix DVD at the moment however it’s likely that regions such as Canada, Central America or European regions will get them in the future. It’s unlikely to come to Netflix US streaming however because of contracts already in place with other providers.
