Legend Quest has finally gotten its second season release date but is going to be released on Netflix as a separate entity altogether. Here’s what we know so far about Legend Quest: Masters of Myth including its official release date and more.
Let’s take you back a bit before exploring the upcoming season. Legend Quest first released in February 2017 meaning it’s been almost two and a half years since the series first released onto Netflix. The Mexican produced animated series is one of the first of its kind for Netflix.
The first season is about Leo who goes on a time-traveling adventure to defeat mystical enemies.
We’ve been tracking the release and development of Legend Quest season 2 for quite some time and we’ve known for sometime that season 2 would be released in 2019 at some point.
Now, however, we know that season 2 is due to release on Netflix on Saturday, October 5th, 2019. With that said, it will be listed on Netflix as a separate entity named Masters of Myth.
Here’s the official description for the upcoming Masters of Myth series:
When mythical creatures come to life, it’s up to Leo, Teodora, Don Andrés and Alebrije — super-secret monster hunters — to save the day.
Thanks to some reporting from Wild Entrepreneur, we know that the next season is set to consist of 13 episodes. They also gave us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming season saying: “With more dangerous battles and monsters, a secret group with evil intentions and a mission around the world, these heroes have once again the task of saving the day trying not to destroy the planet before.”
Once again, the series will be available in the originals Spanish language and in English and an assortment of other languages too.
It’ll release several days after another Netflix animated show for kids returns for its second season too in the form of Carmen Sandiego. You can find a full list of the Originals scheduled in our October 2019 preview.
As of the time of publishing, no trailers or further information is available although we’re expecting more news in the coming days as the show’s creator on Twitter teases:
True! I’ll make sure to use the hashtag when some… news… happen… soon.
