Netflix has a new rom-com on the way starring Kristen Bell, Seth Rogen, and Kelsey Grammer.
When a workaholic young executive (Kristen Bell, in a reverse of her role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall), is left at the altar, she ends up on her Caribbean honeymoon cruise with the last person she ever expected: her estranged and equally workaholic father (Kelsey Grammer). The two depart as strangers, but over the course of a few hilarious adventures, a couple of umbrella-clad cocktails and a whole lot of soul-searching, they return with a renewed appreciation for family and life. Seth Rogen plays Bell’s love interest on the cruise.
The film was written, directed and produced by Lauren Miller Rogen (For A Good Time Call) and also produced by Molly Conners, Anders Bard, and Amanda Bowers.
It looks like it’s going to be a fun comedy-drama about family and forgiveness. Like Father premiers August 3rd on Netflix.
