Wednesday star Jenna Ortega won’t return to reprise her role as vlogger Brooklyn in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, but Netflix has revealed her replacement.

In the run-up to the release of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, it was revealed that Jenna Ortega had stepped down as the voice of Brooklyn, one of the lead characters from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

Who is Jenna Ortega’s replacement?

Jenna Ortega’s replacement as the voice of Brooklyn is actor, singer-songwriter, and model Kiersten Kelly.

Kiersten’s acting roles in film and television have been limited. Most of her experience has been working on commercials for companies such as Google TV, Walmart, and the beverage YOU.C1000 for Miss Universe.

Kiersten is known for her music, having worked on singles such as Bad News, Little Too Much, and Gone.

She is also a model, signed to Onyx Unity, and a passionate campaigner for disability awareness.

We haven’t received a formal reason for Ortega’s departure as teen vlogger Brooklyn. However, given the character’s fate revealed in the Jurassic World: Chaos Theory trailer and Ortega’s busy filming schedule, it’s not hard to see why she would stand down from the role. Having starred in many projects over the past few years, including the Scream franchise, Beetlejuice 2, and Wednesday, Ortega has swiftly become one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood.

Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley shared their thoughts on the upcoming series;

“Six years ago when we began work on Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, we could never have imagined how audiences would embrace our heroes; six teenagers, abandoned on an island full of dinosaurs, with no one to count on but each other in order to overcome extraordinary odds and survive a multitude of deadly threats, human and reptilian alike. They began as strangers, grew to become friends, and then eventually, family. The same could be said of our cast and crew.

So it is on behalf of our family of cast and crew members that we invite you to join us as we bring forth a new chapter in the continuing saga of The Nublar Six. We pick up their story six years later in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. The world has changed and, in many ways, our heroes have changed along with it. They must rebuild their relationships that were formed during their traumatic youth, all while contending with the uncertainty of a taut conspiracy thriller. But as much as they have changed, at their heart, they are still the same smart, resourceful, flawed, funny kids that they always were. And once again, they have no one to truly count on but each other.

The Nublar Six aren’t the only ones adapting to a new world. The dinosaurs now live amongst us, and continue to push up against the boundaries of civilization, as well as man’s desire to exploit them for money and power. What results can oftentimes be dangerous, and sometimes deadly. Whether you’re coming for the dinosaurs and staying for the kids, or vice versa, or both, we truly hope you enjoy the show. A lot of hard work, and even more love, went into its creation. Camp Fam 4 Life.”
