While our posts giving you information on how to stream Harry Potter and the Pixar movies always prove very popular, a personal favourite movie franchise of mine is The Matrix trilogy. The mind bending movies really demonstrated the Wochowski’s ability to create great movies and while they’ve never been able to capture the world like they did with the Matrix, they still make incredible movies and TV shows now too.
For this post we’re going to be looking into where you can stream each of the three Matrix movies and as an added bonus, where you can stream the Animatrix movie too.
The Matrix (1999)
1999 was an epic year for movies and The Matrix is a testament to that year. The original movie involved Neo or Mr. Anderson learning about what the Matrix is and his journey to escaping their reality and going further down the rabbit hole. The best of the trilogy without a doubt, you’ll want to watch the first movie a few times to learn what’s going on.
The Matrix (1999) is currently streaming on Netflix in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and most of Europe (excluding Ireland and the United Kingdom)
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Let’s be honest, the sequels never really hit the same heights as the original but for fans of the franchise seeing the second and third movies were an absolute must. With his new found powers, Neo continues his training to become the chosen one.

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Released just a few months after the second movie, Revolutions brought the trilogy to an end with an epic finale. As I mentioned before, the quality had suffered on the second and third movies which sucked but they’re still a good watch, particularly if you enjoyed the first one.

The Animatrix (2003)
A nice added bonus here as we found that The Animatrix is also streaming on Netflix too. The movie made in a Japanese anime style and is a collection of short films all linking in with the universe. It acts as a prequel detailing mans war with the machines leading to the creation of The Matrix.
The Animatrix (2003) is only streaming on Netflix in the USA.
