Another season of Hip-Hop Evolution is on the way to Netflix in September 2019. Here’s a rundown of what you’re missing if you’re new to the series and some idea of what to expect from season 3 of Hip-Hop Evolution.

The music docu-series is among the highest regard on Netflix and that’s up against the likes of the fantastic ReMastered series.

It follows Shad Kabango who is an MC and music journalist covering the biggest names in hip-hop over the past few decades. He looks at the impact of the music and the future of it too.

Some of the artists featured so far have been:

  • DJ Kool
  • Run-DMC
  • Ice-T
  • 2 Live Crew
  • Notorious Big
  • Wu-Tang Clan
  • The Sugarhill Gang

Season 1 of the show first premiered on Netflix in December 2016. It was an HBO Canada docu-series before Netflix picked it up in the future. Season 2 premiered in October 2018.  Season 3 is due to drop on Netflix globally on September 6th, 2019.

Each of the two seasons on Netflix so far has been four episodes and we’re currently expecting a similar runtime again.
