The French Netflix Original series Family Business which debuted on Netflix in June 2019 is returning for a second season as it has received a quick renew. Here’s a look into what we know about season 2 of Family Business and some reasons you should be watching in case you’re not already.
France has produced a number of Netflix Originals for the library so far with varied success. Osmosis was the regions biggest title but has yet to see a second season renewal. Fellow comedy The Hook Up Plan was fast to get a renewal, however.
For those unfamiliar with the show, it’s a mix between How to Sell Drugs Online that Netflix released recently, with a family drama/comedy like Dynasty and The Middle but also has elements of Breaking Bad to it as well. It also shares some resemblance to the doomed Netflix Original comedy Disjointed but that got canceled rather quickly.
The series sees a family who is down on their luck convert their butcher shop into a weed shop after it was announced the French government intended to legalize the substance.
The first season arrived on Netflix around the world on June 28th, 2019.
Has Family Business been renewed for season 2?
The news of the second season confirmation came yesterday via the official Netflix Twitter account for France.

Usually, it takes a couple of months for Netflix to decide whether to renew a show but given the reported popularity of the show in France, Netflix has decided to move along straight away with a second outing.
When will season 2 of Family Business be on Netflix?
At the moment, it can only be assumed that season of Family Business will arrive at some point during 2020. If we had to guess, we’d say the series is going to keep to a yearly schedule despite only having six episodes which would mean we see season 2 arrive in Summer 2020.
