Production has begun in the UK on Netflix’s third installment of Enola Holmes. Millie Bobby Brown will return as the sleuth sister of Sherlock Holmes, and plenty of other cast members will be returning to reprise their roles.
Enola Holmes 3 is the upcoming third installment in the Enola Holmes movie series on Netflix. Directed by Philip Barantini, the film is written by Jack Thorne and is based on the novels written by Nancy Springer.
Netflix has provided a logline for Enola Holmes 3:
“Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”
The streaming service has confirmed that production is now underway in the UK. Considering the plot takes place in Malta, we’d expect filming to take place on the Mediterranean island soon.
Who are the returning cast members?
Naturally, Millie Bobby Brown will be returning as Enola Holmes. Brown has been one of Netflix’s biggest stars, having starred in multiple Netflix projects in hr career such as Stranger Things, Damsel, The Electric State, and the Enola Holmes trilogy.

It has been confirmed that Henry Cavill will return as Sherlock Holmes, Enola’s older, super-sleuth brother. Cavill previously starred as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher, but left the project after three seasons. He is most well-known for his former role as Superman in Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Louis Partridge will return as Tewkesbury, the love interest of Enola Holmes. The actor recently starred alongside Cavill in Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle. He has also starred as Sid Vicious in the Sex Pistols biopic series Pistols and the thriller Apple+ series Disclaimer.

Adeel Akhtar will also be returning as Detective Lestrade. The actor is most well-known for his role in the British sci-fi series Utopia, and recently in the Netflix shows Black Doves, Sweet Tooth, and Fool Me Once.

Helena Bonham Carter will return to reprise her role as Eudoria Holmes, the mother of Enola, Sherlock, and Mycroft. She is most well-known for her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series, but also starred as Princess Margaret in Netflix’s The Crown.

Lastly, Sharon Duncan-Brewster returns as Mira Troy, who was introduced in Enola Holmes 2. The actress previously starred in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and the Star Wars film Rogue One. She also starred in 13 episodes of Netflix’s Sex Education.
Sam Claflin has yet to be confirmed as returning as Mycroft Holmes in Enola Holmes 3.
