We’re just over 20 days away from getting the first batch of episodes of the three scheduled that will make up the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai. All this week, the social accounts for the show have been teasing the upcoming sixth season, with today bringing us a brand new poster for the final season.
Throughout the week, the official Cobra Kai Series account on X and other socials has released videos teasing the first five episodes of Cobra Kai season 6, which will land on July 18th, 2024.
A video starring Ralph Macchio kicked off proceedings with him in character as Daniel Larusso talking about his journey through the first five seasons. “I’m extremely product to be sensei at Miyagi-Do,” says LaRusso in the video, “My journey has been so much more than just fighting. It’s about balance and respect. I’ve taken my sensei, Mr. Miyagi’s teachings to heart, helping others find their path just as I did.”
Subsequent videos featuring Hawk (played by Jacob Bertrand), Samantha (Mary Mouser), Kenny (Dallas Dupree Young), and Robby (Tanner Buchanan) were released throughout the week, culminating with today’s new poster drop.
Away from Cobra Kai snippets, it’s been a busy week for The Karate Kid in general.
As you may have heard, the upcoming movie has just finished production. That’s scheduled to hit theaters on May 30th, 2025, and although Netflix is not involved in the film because Sony Pictures distributes it, it should hit Netflix in late 2025 via the first window deal.
In addition, the first movie is celebrating its 40th Anniversary with
“On this day, June 22, 1984, the world met Daniel LaRusso,” said Ralph Macchio in an Instagram post, adding, “Happy 40th Anniversary to The Karate Kid. Looking ahead to one of the most exciting years yet! Just wrapped Cobra Kai and the new Karate Kid Movie. Epic stuff on the way!”

While the new assets and interviews have been nice, we still await the big new trailer. Some fans suspected it would be coming this week, but when they dropped the new poster, the socials confirmed we’ll get the official trailer on Monday.
