Castlevania Season

Castlevania season 2 is just around the corner from its release on Netflix and if you’re looking for a recap on season 1 or looking for everything there is regarding the second season then you’ve come to the right place. Here’s everything you need to know about Castlevania season 2.

Season 1 Recap

As many of you will know, Castlevania is, in fact, a well known and much-loved video game series that started in the late 80’s but still gets regular entries to this day.

The project was initially a movie back in 2005 but after going through difficulty in its development didn’t really get off the ground until 2015. Even then, with a couple years worth of development, only four episodes dropped on Netflix in July 2017.

At the end of season 1, Belmont saved Gresit from certain doom but came face to face with a shocking truth which leads directly into season 2.

Who is confirmed to be returning for season 2?

We only have the names of a handful of returning voice actors and actresses for season 2 currently.

Those returning include:

  • Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont
  • James Callis as Alucard
  • Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades

The music is once again going to be arranged by Trevor Morris who is a veteran in the industry having worked on TV series such as Vikings, Taken and Shadowhunters.

Is there a trailer for season 2 of Castlevania?

Absolutely, on July 28th, Netflix released the official full-length trailer for the upcoming series.

The description of the video is as follows: “Raise hell! Castlevania Season 2 — join our awakening October 26, only on Netflix.”

How many episodes in season 2?

As many fans suggested, if we only get four 25 minute episodes again, it’ll be criminal. Fortunately then, it’s been announced there will be eight episodes. We’re expecting each episode to be roughly 25 minutes apiece.

When will season 2 be on Netflix?

Season 2 is dropping on October 26th, 2018. This is slightly later than originally announced as the showrunner said much earlier in the year that season 2 was scheduled for summer 2018.

The series is a Netflix Original in every region of Netflix making it the only place you can watch the series.

Season 3 has been announced

Digital Spy revealed that Castlevania season 3 has already been greenlit and is already in production. Speaking to Richard Armitage, one of the voices in Castlevania he said:

“The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third.”
