We’re just days away from returning to the world of Bridgerton, with episodes 5 through 8 of the third season of the hit period drama landing on the service. We’ve already told you what we think will happen in the second batch of episodes, but what do you think will happen?
We’ve reached out on Facebook and Twitter to ask for your theories and we got some great ones in our inbox. So, let’s dive in! What do fans of Bridgerton think will happen in the new episodes?
Julia Quintanilha, from Brazil, kicked us off with five big predictions for the new season:
“1. We are going to see Colin discovering who Whistledown is and being more worried about her safety than anything else, and he is gonna forgive her for hiding this secret in like 20minutes. Because he is IN LOVE.
2. Eloise and Penelope are going to be friends again after Cressida claims that she is Lady Whistledown. Eloise is actually supporting Penelope when this happens and she is going to be against Cressida.
3. We are gonna see a big Polin Wedding and lots of cute scenes between them.
4. Colin is going to defend Penelope when Portia starts saying bad things about her, like the proud husband he is.
5. All Ton is gonna discover that Penelope is Whistledown, and they are gonna respect her, and she is so proud about her work.”
Lady Whistledown’s Identity Predictions
Most of the predictions, as you can imagine, were regarding the identity of Lady Whistledown and who will be finding her identity by the time episode 8’s credits begin to roll.
Mila Living started us off on this by telling us on X:
“My theory is that Lady Whistledown will not be revealed.
The season will end with Eloise receiving a letter, which was addressed to Colin, but as he got married and moved, he ended up not receiving it and when Eloise sees the sender, she will be curious and open the letter, then run to respond and then we will see the letter goes back to the person who wrote the first one and then we will see a butler with the letter on the tray taking it to someone and he will see the letter with the sender from Eloise Bridgerton and then the camera will show his face and Sir Phillip Crane will be revealed.”
Ariane Barbosa (who told us they’re a big fan of Polin) via email agreed with Mila and theorized that the identity won’t be revealed to everyone, caveating that “only Colin, Eloise, Madame Delacroix and perhaps Queen Charlotte will know Penelope’s secret and will protect her.”
Sticking with this, another caveat came over email (sorry they didn’t include their name), saying, “Instead of Penelope revealing herself as Lady Whistledown, someone else will, and it will be a shock that no one saw coming. And I do believe that Penelope and Colin will live happily ever after.”
Some other predictions came that Queen Charlotte would learn that Penelope is Lady Whistledown and want her to work for the crown. That was theorized by Maria (spirituanal on X/Twitter).
Other Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 Predictions
Bel (ccrutiny on X/Twiter) predicted how the season would end, saying, “I think that there will be a masquerade ball at the end of the season and that at this ball Benedict will meet Sophie. For this reason, I don’t think Lady Whistledown will end this season.”
On the more grim side of predictions, we got this from Fah (fahfulton on X/Twitter): “I think the third season will end with Eloise receiving Phillip’s letter informing her that Marina has died.”
- Eli on X predicted that Penelope would encourage Colin to publish his writings and vice versa, saying, “Just like that, we get our writer couple.”
- Jo Jo, via email, didn’t so much theorize as beg for Theo to return. That was echoed by Alicia adding “Him and Eloise were so sweet and I would love to see Eloise break free from society and start a political revolution!”
- In a similar vein to Jo Jo, Julia (Blondeinromance on X) screamed at us: “SOPHIE BECKETT, REVEAL PLEASE.”
- Numerous people who reached out to us simply want to see the Theloise kiss.
We thank everyone who emailed us or sent us a direct message on X/Twitter!
