Very rarely do we get any insight as to what’s popular and what the viewing figures are for Netflix. The reason for this is that they’re essentially not competing for ad revenue so they don’t need to disclose their viewing figures to anyone but themselves. However we do sometimes get an insight as to how well Netflix’s Originals are performing.
Beasts of No Nation marks the start of Netflix’s surge into the movie business and while it didn’t perform so well in the theaters and cinemas, it has performed excellently on the streaming platform as new figures reveal.
In the first 10 days of the movie being available on Netflix it’s now soared passed 3 million views. Ted Sarandos also stated that “In the first week of release, Beasts of No Nation was the most watched movie on Netflix, in every country we operate in.”
This is certainly positive news and our review of Beasts of No Nation confirms that it’s definitely worth a watch.
