The spoof Netflix series American Vandal will be back on Netflix in September 2018 with a bunch of brand new episodes. The series will be breaking the fourth wall once again as it looks to a new case for 2018. Here’s everything we know about American Vandal season 2 including the release date, cast, trailers and more.
In case you’re not aware, this is not a documentary series. This is a mockumentary series that’s filmed similar to other Netflix series such as Making a Murderer. The first season was a huge success being nominated for multiple awards
What’s season 2 about?
After the case of the dick drawer has been solved by our super sleuth documentarians, they’re looking for their next case to follow and document. Peter Maldonado and Sam Ecklund have found their next case as they look into the case of ‘The Turd Burglar’.
It leads the pair to a school that gets hit by the turd burglar which causes students to literally poo everywhere. Netflix’s official synopsis includes several questions regarding the person who has been framed for the crime. The questions are: “But is justice being served? Is the system rigged against the disenfranchised? And who is The Turd Burglar?”.

It only took a month for Netflix to give the green lights for a second. The creators when talking about the first season to Entertainment Weekly actually addressed season 2 saying that they had a ‘very detailed’ idea of what season 2 would entail.
When will season 2 be on Netflix?
It was announced on August 21st, 2018 that season 2 of American Vandal will be coming to Netflix on September 14th, 2018. All episodes will drop at once.
For those in the United States on the West Coast, you’ll be able to stream from 12 AM. Those on the East Coast will have to wait until 4 AM. Those in the United Kingdom and Europe will be able to watch at 8 AM. Those in Australia will have to wait until later in the day to watch it.
How many episodes in season 2?
Much like season 1, Netflix will be adding 8 more episodes to Netflix on September 14th.
Casting Changes

At the moment, only two major cast members have been confirmed back for season 2. Both Griffin Gluck and Tyler Alvarez are returning. Additional main characters in season 2 include Travis Tope as Ethan and Melvin Gregg as DeMarcus.
Adam Ray as been cast as a recurring character called Officer Crowder.
