Netflix and the BBC renewed the co-production in late November of last year, confirming that production would kick off in the United Kingdom sometime in 2025. Emma Myers was confirmed to be returning in the lead role of Pip Fitz-Amobi opposite Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh. Production kicks off on the new season shortly.
The show is currently in pre-production, meaning that everything is getting set up for its big shoot. It’s filming once again in the Southwest of the United Kingdom, with a planned shoot date of April 13th, 2025. The six episodes are expected to have completed filming within three months of the start, meaning they’ll wrap sometime in mid-July 2025.
In recent weeks, actor Zain Iqbal teased the upcoming season, saying he was “Getting to play Ravi again, I love the character. More “PipRavi” scenes, I love their relationship and the scenes are so fun to shoot.”

‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix; Beginning Production in 2025
This is just one of several shows currently in production or development in the United Kingdom for Netflix. We recently wrote about all the shows in production for Spring 2025 for Netflix here, and don’t forget that Emma Myers will be back on your screens courtesy of Wednesday season 2, which is confirmed to drop on Netflix later this year, with September the month we’re told the series is eying.
When will A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 be released on Netflix?
We’ve not had any official word on when season 2 could be on its way to our screens, but given the relatively short production window, it’s feasible that the show could squeeze onto our screens in late 2025.
However, the safer bet, at least for now, is that it’ll be back sometime in 2026.
Netflix Options Not Quite Dead Yet
We also wanted to give you another tidbit while we’re at it. Holly Jackson will soon publish her next book, Not Quite Dead Yet. That novel is due out this July (although the date is different depending on which site you jump on), and we’ve been told that Netflix optioned the novel last summer, presumably for another adaptation akin to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
This doesn’t mean a series or movie is in active development or greenlit; it just means Netflix has the rights to adapt it. The new book is very similar to AGGGTM.
The story follows Jet Mason, a 27-year-old heiress from a wealthy Vermont family, who is left with a fatal head injury after being attacked on Halloween night. Doctors inform her that she has at most seven days to live before the injury proves deadly. As her condition deteriorates, Jet begins to suspect those around her—including family, friends, and her ex-boyfriend—of being involved in the attack. With limited time and the help of her childhood friend Billy, she sets out to uncover the truth and solve her own attempted murder before it’s too late.

Netflix did not respond to a request for comment on the option late last year.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 1 is available on Netflix globally except in the United Kingdom, where the show is exclusive to the BBC iPlayer. It’s unclear when the show will be licensed to Netflix UK.
