It’s going to be a busy month for departures on Netflix US, with multiple high-profile Warner Bros. Animation series set to depart. If you’re midway through a binge, you’ll need to watch fast, as all four animated series include three classic DC series, as well as a Scooby-Doo! favorite will be departing throughout May 2025 alongside other high-profile animated titles.
Note: These removals primarily apply to Netflix in the United States – other regions’ availability and departures may vary.
So what’s leaving? Let’s run through each of the titles now:
Scooby-Doo!: Mystery Incorporated
Removal Date: April 24th (Last Day to Watch April 23rd)
By the time you’re reading this, you’ll have just hours to watch both seasons of the 2010 iteration of the classic Warner Bros. Animation staple that is Scooby-Doo!. This iteration features the voice performances of Frances Conroy, Frank Welker, Gary Cole, Grey DeLisle, Grey Griffin, and Matthew Lillard, among others. The series continues the classic format of seeing the gang chase villains and ghouls. Scooby-Doo!: Mystery Incorporated will continue to stream on Max following its removal from Netflix.
Those outside the United States who are streaming the series aren’t set to lose the show at the moment. Regions like Canada, Latin America, and across Europe will be keeping the show for another year, with the current planned departure date set for April 2026.
Of course, this departure comes at a bad time, given that Netflix is pressing ahead with its live-action adaptation, which was recently greenlit.
Justice League and Justice League Unlimited
Removal Date: May 8th (Last Day to Watch May 7th)
Picture: Warner Bros. Animation
Consisting of 26 episodes for each of two seasons for Justice League and a total of 39 episodes for Justice League Unlimited, these highly regarded DC series first aired on our television sets in the early 2000s and have an endearing legacy. Featuring all your favorite superheroes from the universe, including Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, both seasons see the team banding together against some of Earth’s most formidable foes.
Those internationally can breathe a sigh of relief for Justice League, however. Our intel suggests the shows will be remaining, but not for very long. Most regions’ rights will come up for renewal on November 24, 2025, which is when they will expire if not renewed. Justice League Unlimited is not available outside the US.
The series will continue to stream on Max after it is removed from Netflix.
The Batman
Removal Date: May 21st (Last Day to Watch May 7th)
Picture: Warner Bros. Animation
The biggest binge of all the shows mentioned is the 2007 series The Batman, which is regarded as one of the best in the franchise’s history. Split across five seasons and 65 episodes in total, the Emmy-winning cartoon sees the Caped Crusader go up against all of the best-known villains with epic vocal performances from the likes of Adam West, Duane Capizzi, Danielle Judovits, and Kevin Michael Richardson. Netflix licensed the series in May 2023; the show is also available to stream on Max.
The series doesn’t reside on Netflix internationally, so this removal only applies to the US.
These removals are in addition to other animated titles throughout the month. Netflix’s Original series, Inspector Gadget, is among at least six set to depart the US throughout May 2025. Fans of Spider-Man will also want to give Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) a final watch before it heads to Disney on May 1st. Four Thomas & Friends specials will be leaving on the first too alongside seasons 1 and 2 of the Nickelodeon favorite, Rugrats.
Are you disappointed that these Warner Bros. Animation series are leaving Netflix? Let us know in the comments.
