The British kids animated series Octonauts is set to see all four seasons of its main show leave the service globally in May 2024.
For the past few years, Netflix has become the main streaming home for Octonauts worldwide, and a slew of exclusive projects have also landed on the service in recent years.
The first season of Octonauts landed on Netflix in the US and many other regions in 2015, and additional seasons were added over the next few years.
Since late 2018, Netflix has streamed all four seasons (consisting of 67 episodes), but their time is now up. All regions of Netflix will see all four seasons leave on May 1st, 2024, with a notice now displaying within Netflix stating that your last day to watch is April 30th.

The news comes after it was reported in October 2023 that the BBC had acquired the UK rights to Octonauts: Above and Beyond from Sony Pictures Television – Kids.
Usually, we don’t do separate articles for every TV show set to leave Netflix except the big ones. We have covered kids’ shows, like Octonauts, in recent years, and many parents have told us that these shows’ removals can cause severe disruption in kids’ routines. With this period between now and the removal, you can put something in place by picking up the physical DVDs, purchasing on VOD, or finding an alternative streaming home.

Will the Netflix Original Octonaut Titles Leave Netflix?
In addition to carrying the main Octonauts show, Netflix has also been the exclusive home to several spin-offs and specials. We’ve learned, though, that those won’t be leaving Netflix just yet.
Let’s run through them and their current expected expiration date:
- Octonauts & The Ring of Fire (2021) Netflix Original – Leaving Netflix on March 29th, 2036
- Octonauts & The Great Barrier Reef (2020) Netflix Original – Leaving Netflix on March 30th, 2036
- Octonauts: Above & Beyond (Seasons 1-2) Netflix Original – Leaving Netflix on April 12th, 2037
