What’s Coming to Netflix This Week: January 15th to 21st, 2024

This week is going to see a large number of licensed movies head to the service from all manner of studios across Hollywood, plus a couple of highly anticipated anime projects are headed to the service. Below, we’ll break down everything coming to Netflix over the next seven days.

While there’s a lot new coming to Netflix this week, a fair few major titles are leaving. The Sony horror movie Umma departs midway through the week, as does Feast of the Seven Fishes and A Monster Calls. The Netflix Original documentary The Square is also set for departure.

Most Anticipated Upcoming Releases on Netflix This Week

Dumb Money (2023)

Coming to Netflix: Sunday

The second major Sony Pictures movie to make its way to Netflix in the first window in 2024 is Dumb Money, a biopic movie that rewinds the clock back a few years when you may have heard that a small stock by the name of GameStop was blowing up thanks to retail investors.

This movie drills down into some of the players of that whole ordeal with Keith Gill, a Redditor and a YouTuber who sunk his entire life savings into the stock as he believed it was undervalued.

The huge ensemble cast for the movie includes Paul Dano leading, plus Pete Davidson, Vincent D’Onofrio, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Anthony Ramos, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley and Seth Rogen.

Queenpins (2021)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

Perhaps indicative of where we’re at in the streaming wars, we see a movie that was at first exclusive to Paramount+ head to Netflix following its rollout on Netflix in multiple other regions over the past few months.

Headlined by Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, the movie follows a homemaker who teams up with a vlogger to turn their hobby of coupon collecting into a multimillion-dollar business, which catches the attention of a Loss Prevention Officer and a U.S. Postal Inspector.

The Kitchen (2024)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

New from Great Britain this week and the first major Netflix Original movie of 2024 from the region is The Kitchen, starring Kane Robinson and Jedaiah Bannerman.

Set in London in the not-too-distant future, where rents are exorbitantly high and available to only a few, abandoned housing such as The Kitchen exists. Among its residents, one is determined to leave. However, after meeting a young boy, his priorities might have changed.
