Welcome to your very belated preview of what’s coming up on Netflix over the next seven days. It’s late because there were no new additions yesterday, and I was called away, but I’m back in the driving seat from today. Below, we’ll take a look at what we’re looking forward to this week and the complete preliminary list of everything coming up from now through Sunday.

Yesterday, we updated our list of everything still to come throughout April 2025 with some late additions just added to the lineup. We’re also slowly tracking all the upcoming May 2025 additions here.

Don’t forget that all the below are in addition to weekly episodes of new titles. On the anime front, new episodes of ONE PIECE debut on Saturdays with WITCH WATCH continuing to drop weekly (note that English dubs will become available 3 weeks after each episode arrives). Resident Playbook kicked off on Saturday with the next episode scheduled for this coming weekend. Elsewhere, we’ll get new episodes of The Blank Menu For You (Saturday), Chef & My Fridge (Sunday), Crime Patrol (Saturday), K-foodie meets J-foodie (Thursday), Screwballs (Sunday), and Try? Choo-ry! (Wednesday).

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney also returns this Wednesday at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET with guests David Letterman, Hannibal Buress, Leanne Morgan, Nikki Glaser, and Randy Newman.

Now, let’s get into our highlights for the week:

Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week

Ransom Canyon (Season 1)

Added to Netflix: Thursday

We’ve been tracking this new series for quite some time. It seems to be a blend of many other different shows, which Netflix hopes will become a big hit. It takes a mix of Westerns, as popularized recently by the likes of Yellowstone, and mixes it in with the sweetness and romantic nature of Netflix’s Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias – will it work? We’ll get to find out when all 10 episodes land on Thursday.

Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, James Brolin, Eoin Macken, and Lizzy Greene are amongst the ensemble cast with All American showrunner, April Blair running proceedings. The series details the intertwining paths of three ranching families operating in the beautiful Texan countryside.

The Room Next Door (2024)

Coming to Netflix: Saturday

Sony Pictures keeps on providing some great movies for Netflix, and this weekend, just months after its theatrical release, we’ll see the Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore drama The Room Next Door land on the streaming service for 18 months.

The movie, beautifully directed and written by the Spaniard Pedro Almodóvar, depicts two former friends and colleagues who have taken different career paths, one becoming a novelist and the other a war reporter. In a chance encounter, their lives cross over again.

The Glass Dome (Season 1)

Added to Netflix: Tuesday

If there’s anything European creators have proven over the years, they’re the masters of creating excellent and gripping crime dramas. The Are Murders has already proved that this year, with it currently being the most-watched international show of 2025 so far, but could The Glass Dome top it?

Headlined by Léonie Vincent, Johan Rheborg, and Johan Hedenberg, the new limited series hails from Sweden and comes from the bestselling crime author Camilla Läckberg. What can you expect? Here’s the expanded synopsis courtesy of Netflix:

“In a village in Sweden, Lejla returns to her childhood home, a place caught between tradition and modernization, causing tension among its citizens. For Lejla, however, her return is overshadowed by something far more dark and intimidating than she ever anticipated. As a child, she was held captive in the area by an unknown perpetrator, trapped in a glass dome. Now, another young girl has disappeared without a trace. As Lejla investigates the disappearance, she must also confront her own inner darkness—a part of her past she’s tried to avoid. Are the similarities between Lejla’s past and the girl’s disappearance just a chilling coincidence? Or is history repeating itself?”
