Heavyweights Takeru Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut will go head to head in this live “sporting” event that sees the pair stuffing as many hotdogs down their gullets as possible.
Apollo 13: Survival
Coming to Netflix: September 5th
Peter Middleton is behind this new documentary on the well-documented doomed Apollo 13 mission. Thanks to new rare footage, this documentary seeks to be the definitive one on the mission.
Interestingly, ScreenDaily has already seen the documentary, which it describes as a “gripping, edge-of-the-cockpit reconstruction,” praising the use of archival film and audio.
Emily in Paris (Season 4 – Part 2)
Coming to Netflix: September 12th
Having been split into two parts, you thankfully won’t have to wait long for the second half of the fourth season of Emily in Paris.
Uglies
Coming to Netflix: September 13th
After a very long wait, the new McG film starring Joey King, Chase Stokes, Brianne Tju, and Keith Powers will finally debut on Netflix in September 2024.
Based on the novel by Scott Westerfeld (one of two of his works currently being adapted at Netflix), the movie is set in a futuristic world that imposes cosmetic surgery at 16. The plot revolves around Tally (played by King), who is eager for her turn to join the rest of society. But when a friend runs away, Tally embarks on a journey to save her that upends everything she thought she wanted.
Twilight of the Gods (Season 1)
Coming to Netflix: September 19th
Zack Snyder will return to Netflix later this year with his third major IP for Netflix, following Army of the Dead and, more recently, Rebel Moon.
Inspired by Nose Mythology, the series title refers to the events that led to the destruction of Midgard and Asgard.
Jessica Henwick, Peter Stormare, Lauren Cohan, and Jamie Chung are among the voice cast assembled.
His Three Daughters
Coming to Netflix: September 20th
Acquired by Netflix late last year after it debuted at film festivals, the drama starring Elizabeth Olsen as Christina, Carrie Coon as Katie, and Natasha Lyonne as Rachel will finally debut on Netflix in mid-September 2024. Azazel Jacobs is behind the title that sees the three sisters returning to New York to care for their ailing father.
In addition to its Netflix release, you’ll also be able to catch His Three Daughters in select theaters in the two weeks leading up to its Netflix release.
Nobody Wants This
Coming to Netflix: September 26th
Coming from 20th Television with Erin Foster behind the new title, this comedy series features an all-star cast and could be a sleeper hit for the streamer.
The comedy is centered on the unlikely relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman, Joanne (played by Kristen Bell), and an unconventional rabbi, Noah (played by Adam Brody).

Following several seasons of comedian Jack Whitehall galavanting around the world with his father, it’s time for things to get serious with fatherhood on the horizon.

Language: Polish
Announced during the Polish slate reveal earlier this year, this sports biopic movie will hopefully follow a young boxer who flees Poland during its communist era to become the biggest fighter in history.

The Queen of Villains (Season 1)
Coming to Netflix: September 19th*
Language: Japanese
Netflix hasn’t had many big global Japanese live-action dramas, so hoping to change that will be The Queen of Villains, which could play well on the streamer given it’ll soon be the home to the WWE.
Dump Matsumoto is the story’s center. In the 1980s, it took Japan by storm, creating a boom in women’s professional wrestling.
Director Kazuya Shiraishi is behind the new series starring Yuriyan Retriever, Karata Erika, and Goriki Ayame.
Everything Calls for Salvation (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: September 26th
The Italian drama Everything Calls for Salvation is back for its second season. This time around, story unfolds over 5 episodes (one for each week in the story) where Daniele (Federico Cesari) strives to regain control of his life and prove he can be a good father to Maria, his daughter with Nina (Fotinì Peluso). Over these five weeks, the lives of familiar characters intertwine with new ones, both within the psychiatry department and the outside world.
